We just got back from our walk, and the weather has temporarily returned to beautiful sunshine. We are Home Educators, so we don't go to school.

Lit Avon
Merchant ships used to sail up the Avon. Now it tends to be pleasure craft only. No locals swim here. Do not swim in water unless the locals do. I've never seen fishermen hereabouts either.
Avon Fungus
Avon Fungus Texture
This will probably end up being a creature texture (applied to a 3d mesh) at some point, or maybe just a fungus texture. Please comment if you are a Mycologist and know what type it is.

some beautiful photographs there, looks like a lovely route to walk.
I love plant portals, "where did it lead to?"
Looks like you had a great day, the weather looked pretty good as well.
There's some nice scenery around your way.
Just in case you were wondering the light effect on the one picture is lens flare, it's a natural effect that happens if the camera lens happens to catch the light in a certain way.
I try to take some of my photographs so that I get some in, I like it, there's some picture on my flickr photo stream if you are interested ? and you can add it to photo's using gimp and photo shop.

That portal led to the place in the shot where Logan ...er AchillesX is looking up. Theres a couple of places like that nearby.
I will swing by and take a look at your lens flares for sure. I love them tbh. Other than real ones like these, the best ones I made were in illustrator years ago. Figuring out how to make dynamic/animated lens flares is one of those tasks I've had a ways down my to do list for a while.
Probably an image texture, on a mesh plane that scales and rotates.
Nice pics - like the UFO ;-)

Just thought I'd say thanks for looking at my flickr site, greatly appreciate the comments, and If you get round to your lens flare rendering project I'd like to see it.
